Box parts generally refer to parts with more than one hole system, internal cavity and a certain proportion in the direction of length, width and height. Box parts generally need multi station hole system and plane processing, with high tolerance requirements, especially strict requirements for form and position tolerance. They usually go through milling, drilling, expanding, boring, reaming, spot facing, tapping and other processes, which requires more tools. It is difficult to process on ordinary machine tools, with many sets of tooling, high cost, long processing cycle, and need to be clamped and aligned for many times, There are many times of manual measurement, and the cutting tools must be changed frequently during processing. It is difficult to formulate the process and, more importantly, it is difficult to ensure the accuracy.

Such parts are commonly used in compressors of aeroengines, expanders of oxygen production equipment, single screw air compressors, etc. for such profiles, machining centers with more than four axes can be used.

Such as injection mold, rubber mold, vacuum forming blister mold, refrigerator foam mold, pressure casting mold, precision casting mold, etc. The machining center is used to process the mold. Due to the high concentration of processes, the finishing of key parts such as moving mold and static mold is basically to complete all machining contents in one installation, which can reduce the cumulative size error and reduce the repair workload. At the same time, the mold has strong reproducibility and good interchangeability. The amount of work remaining to the fitter in machining is less. Where the tool can reach, it shall be completed by machining as far as possible, so that the workload of the die fitter mainly lies in polishing.
