Grinding The surface of the workpiece is processed by abrades and abrasive tools (such as grinding wheels) with high linear velocity torsion. Grinding belongs to finishing on the machine, with less processing and high precision. Grinding is used to process cylindrical surface, conical surface, plane, rib, spline, gear and other especially complex forming surface. Because of its high hardness and self-sharpening properties, grinding can be used to process a variety of materials, including hardened steel, various alloy steels, hard alloys, glass, ceramics and marble and other high hardness metals and non-metallic materials. Grinding is divided into outer circle grinding, inner circle grinding, surface grinding and centerless grinding. Cylindrical grinding is mainly used for grinding the outer cylinder of the shaft workpiece. When grinding, the workpiece is rotated at a low speed. If the workpiece is moved longitudinally at the same time and the grinding wheel compares the workpiece for transverse feed after each single or double journey of longitudinal movement, it is called longitudinal grinding method. If the width of the grinding wheel is greater than the length of the grinding surface, the workpiece does not need to be moved longitudinally, which is called the in-grinding method. The entry grinding method has higher compliance than the longitudinal grinding method. The inner grinding shall be held by the length of the inner grinding machine, the outer grinding machine or the coordinate grinding machine. The cylindrical hole, the conical hole and the hole end face of the workpiece shall be grinded tightly. The longitudinal grinding method is generally adopted, and the cutting grinding method can be adopted when the inner surface is grinded. When grinding the inner hole on the coordinate grinder, the workpiece is fixed on the work table. Besides high-speed torsion, the grinding wheel also makes planetary motion around the middle line of the grinding hole. Surface grinding is to grind the plane, groove and so on on the surface grinder, which is divided into two kinds: the outer surface grinding of the grinding wheel is called peripheral grinding, and the end grinding of the grinding wheel is called end grinding. Centerless grinding is held in the centerless grinding machine to grind the outer circle of the workpiece. During grinding, the workpiece is not centered and supported, but placed between the grinding wheel and the regulating wheel, supported by the support plate below it, and driven by the regulating wheel. When the axis of the regulating wheel and the axis of the grinding wheel is adjusted into an oblique 1 ~ 6°, the workpiece can be automatically fed along the axial direction while twisting, known as serial grinding, which is only suitable for grinding the outer cylindrical surface.

 

High grinding speed, high temperature, high precision and very small surface roughness can be obtained by grinding. It can not only process soft materials, such as unquenched steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals, but also process hardened steel and other hard materials that can not be processed, such as porcelain, hard alloy, etc. The cutting depth of grinding is very small, and the metal layer can be cut out in a journey is very thin. When grinding, a large number of fine grinding flies from the grinding wheel and a large number of metal cuts fly from the workpiece, which is easy to be dangerous to human beings.

 

Things to note about grinding processing:
(1) Check the machine comprehensively before starting, including the control mechanism, electrical equipment and magnetic sucker, etc. Check the outdated line for lubrication, and then test to ensure normal use;
(2) The workpiece should be jammed and tightened. First of all, manual adjustment is used to make the grinding wheel slowly close to the workpiece. First of all, the feed should be small and can not be too strong to prevent the collision of the grinding wheel.
(3) When replacing the grinding wheel, the appearance of the grinding wheel must be inspected to see if there is any trauma, and then knocked with a wooden hammer or stick. The sound should be loud and bright without cracks. The installation of grinding wheel must be carried out according to the specified requirements. After static and average debugging, the grinding wheel can be used only after normal operation.
(4) The operator should wear protective glasses when working, dressing grinding wheel should be held on average to prevent impact, measuring workpiece, wiping machine tools should be out of date in the shutdown line, with magnetic suction cup, should be the disk surface, workpiece clean, close to tight, suction firm, if necessary can be added to prevent workpiece shift or fly out;
(5) After the operator stops working, he/she should shut down the car in time, and the grinding wheel is not allowed to operate in the condition of unused and unmanaged;
(6) After the completion of the work, the parts should be removed in time, the parts everywhere (especially sliding parts) wipe clean after oil, and rust prevention in the necessary parts.
